What's up everybody?  Today's a busy day for me.  I've got personal training at the gym at noon and then I have my interview at Juice Shack at 2.  So...wish me luck!  I REALLY want/need this job.  SO bad. 

Anyway- I'm pissed because I got a ProTools MBox for Xmas (in other words, a very nice/expensive piece of recording equipment) and I've tried to get it to work on *2* different computers and it doesn't.  My dad installed it on our downstairs computer (cuz he's still in the middle of building me a new one for my room with enough memory to run the dang program lol) and everything installed fine, but it WILL NOT RECORD.  And we've tried two different mics.  I'm SO irritated!  So now after my interview today I gotta come back and read the friggin manual and try to fix it, AND call the flippin Tech Support if that doesn't work!  My dad pretty much left it all up to me at 12:00 AM last night and told me that that's what I have to do.  He's on his way to work in Santa Cruz now.  *rolls eyes*  Oh well.  I'm just pissed because our family is seriously technologically cursed--no joke.  Our cars, all of our computers, our TV's, everything ALWAYS breaks/doesn't work/needs work/etc. etc.!!!  It's been that way foreeeverrr.  I guess the forces are really against me recording or something.  lol.  But I REALLY need to because I need to re-record *3* songs before...let's see...February 6th! I want to re-record 3 out of 4 of the songs that they're going to be playing on the Spinatiks Online Radio show that I'm doing, cuz I do NOT like the way I sound in them.  My voice has changed/matured since I recorded them, and I want to properly represent myself and what I've got.  You know?  So all I have is this week, because I'm leaving for LA on the 6th or 7th!!! Lordy!  GRR.  Just please pray that I can get this thing to work.  : )  Anyway-that's my vent-age (HA I made up another word lol) for the day...luv yall!  Pray for my interview today PLEEAZZE!!! :D

Here's the entry I posted on my old private LJ explaining my situation for those of you who aren't in the loop.  I wrote it on January 25th.

Wow. Like that Staind song goes, "It's been a while..." lol. Today was a...weird day. A lot of people don't really know this but I've been real depressed lately and I haven't had the energy or drive to do **anything** for a long time besides sit on my @$$ on the computer and sleep. It's sad. There are a bunch of reasons that I'm depressed but I don't wanna go into it all right now. I am sick of school; my schedule is so easy and pathetic that it's almost pointless to go. I mean, I would never drop out of school but...arrgg. Lately I've been staying up till like 4 in the morning on SCHOOL NIGHTS. Yes I know, I'm crazy. I just don't get tired at night anymore. I pretty much only really sleep during the day now. I guess you could call me nocturnal. :P I'll stay up really late at night, then go to school and come back around noon and take like a 5 hour nap. My sleep patterns are all messed up basically. I'M messed up.
Anyway-this morning I didn't even wanna get out of bed to go to school....so I didn't. My mom can tell I've been down lately and she's really 'concerned' about me or whatever, so this morning she was like "get up and let's have some starbucks and a little talk". So she brought back coffee for both of us and we sat on the family room couch and talked for a little while about things...I told her why I thought I was depressed, and what I think I need to do to feel better. So...I think that what I need is to be busy everyday and have a set-in-stone schedule. I need to get a job and get out there and take some classes (like dance, or voice etc.) and GO to the gym...and I should feel much better once I'm actually making something out of myself. I basically *have* to get in shape for my career choice, and I want to as well for my own self. I want to come out on the music scene when I'm fully ready in all ways- so that I feel properly represented as ME; as the best that I can be...and I already feel that I'm ready mentally, vocally, and musically...just not physically. You know? Anyway-so this week my mom and I are going to try and think of a plan for me here...so yeah. Wish me luck, and if you get the chance sometime, would you pray for me?

Hey! Did I mention how much I absolutely *adore* this layout?? Sorry, not trying to brag but yeah. :P  I love it!  LindsAy is so beautiful! (sry, just felt the need to specify so yall really DON'T think I'm conceited! hah!)  Anyway~

I'm doing okay right now, for those of you who are concerned/curious about what's been going on with my whole...*life situation* lately.

Some good news:

I have a job interview at Juice Shack on Monday. (wish me luck, and OTS of it!!!)

I'm going to LA to record with my producer during my ski week (that's what my school calls it-it's the break that we have between winter break and spring break lol), and then on the way back up from there I'm doing the Spinatiks Online Radio Show!!! (On Thursday February 10th to be *exact*)  I am SOO excited about that!  I'm going to be singing 2 songs live, and the DJs are going to be interviewing me and playing 4 of my tracks on the air!  This is a GREAT thing for me because this will give me so much promotion and publicity (this station has LOTS of listeners all over the world even though it's a net radio station!) and also it's going to be a GREAT experience!! I wish it was like...tomorrow lol.
